What is DTG printing?
DTG printing stands for Direct-to-Garment printing, which is a modern printing technique that uses specialized inkjet technology to print high-quality images or designs directly onto fabric. With DTG printing, the printer applies the ink directly onto the garment, similar to how a home inkjet printer prints onto paper.
DTG printing is often used for printing custom t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other garments, and it is particularly useful for printing complex designs or images with many colors. Unlike traditional screen printing, which requires a separate stencil for each color in the design, DTG printing can print designs with many colors all at once, which makes it a more efficient and cost-effective option for small print runs or one-off designs.
DTG printing also allows for greater detail and color accuracy, and it can produce high-quality prints with a soft hand feel, which means that the ink doesn't sit heavily on the fabric surface. The ink used in DTG printing is typically water-based, which makes it more environmentally friendly than some other types of printing ink.
